After over four decades in the cells of French imperialism, Comrade Georges Ibrahim Abdallah emerged free, head held high—just as he first entered: a revolutionary, internationalist, loyal to Palestine, dreaming of liberation, justice, and socialism in our world.
Georges Abdallah was not merely a prisoner of conscience but a prisoner of war confronting the international colonial system, which wages its battles on the bodies of the poor and oppressed. He was imprisoned because he chose to stand with the downtrodden—because he was an internationalist communist resister who rejected occupation and exploitation, standing by action, not just words, alongside the Palestinian Revolution and every national liberation resistance against Zionism and imperialism everywhere.
Throughout his years of detention, Georges proved that revolution is not a mere slogan to be raised but a practice and steadfast commitment. He endured his imprisonment with resilience, refusing to compromise his principles, defying the enemy’s conditions, transforming his cell into an internationalist platform, and turning his letters into lessons in revolutionary ethics and intellectual fortitude.
Upon gaining freedom, the moment his feet touched the soil of Beirut, he thundered his first words: a call to mobilize the masses to break the Zionist siege on Gaza and rejoin the frontline of internationalist struggle. He asked nothing for himself; instead, he realigned the compass toward Palestine and its people, toward resistance as a whole, toward human dignity.
We salute all who fought for his liberation: organizations, movements, and leftist, national, and international figures who refused to bargain, never abandoned the cause of his freedom, and sustained their struggle over long years until this great symbolic victory was achieved.
Georges Abdallah’s freedom today is a stark reminder to us all: the prisons of tyranny can only be shattered through organized, conscious mass revolutionary struggle.
Glory to Georges Abdallah,
And freedom for all prisoners in the jails of imperialism, Zionism, and repressive regimes.
Glory to the resistance… Shame on the puppet regimes.
Long live the mass revolution… Long live a free Palestine from the river to the sea.
All power and wealth to the people!
