In the aftermath of the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States, the Zionist state has resumed its assault on Lebanon, targeting densely populated areas in the south, the southern suburbs of Beirut, and the Bekaa. This escalation once again exposes the reality: agreements are merely temporary tools for reorganizing aggression, while the permanent objective remains the same—waging war and breaking the will of peoples through killing, destruction, and displacement.
Within just a few days, this assault has resulted in hundreds of martyrs, thousands of wounded, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands, alongside widespread devastation of residential neighborhoods and critical infrastructure. These attacks form part of a continuous Zionist strategy, backed by imperialism, aimed at destroying the social base of resistance and turning civilian life into an open target of violence in a desperate attempt to subdue entire populations.
The Revolutionary Left Party in Syria strongly condemns this brutal aggression and holds the United States, along with the wider imperialist and global capitalist system, fully responsible as direct partners in these crimes—through military and political support, and by enforcing an international order that legitimizes and shields such violence.
We extend our solidarity and greetings to our people in Lebanon—to our comrades, friends, and communities confronting this war machine that has never ceased targeting our region. We also salute the resistance in all its forms—everyone who stands against aggression and defends land and dignity. We affirm that peace cannot be built on surrender, but only through the steadfastness and organization of the people.
At this critical moment, we stress that confronting this aggression cannot mean neutrality, reliance on international solutions, or waiting for a “perfect” resistance to emerge before offering support. The path forward lies in uniting workers, the oppressed, and the exploited, organizing collectively against imperialist war, and standing firmly against all those who reduce human life to “collateral damage” in their expansionist and predatory conflicts.
We reject all forms of justification, silence, or false equivalence between oppressor and oppressed. To stand with peoples resisting aggression is a moral and political duty that admits no hesitation.
Glory to those who resist—to steadfast and struggling peoples
Down with imperialist wars
All power and wealth to the people
