Condemning the Zionist and Turkish Aggression on Syria

Once again, the Zionist entity and the Turkish occupation reveal their criminal faces through a new barbaric aggression targeting the Syrian people. Their warplanes have launched brutal airstrikes, leaving behind scenes of destruction and bloodshed, violating the sovereignty of the country and the security of its citizens.

In Daraa, Zionist warplanes committed yet another massacre, targeting civilian and military sites, resulting in the martyrdom of three civilians and one soldier, in addition to dozens of wounded. The treacherous bombing also hit the 175th Regiment in Izra’ and the 132nd Brigade in Daraa, causing violent explosions that shook the area amidst scenes of fire and terror. This is a continuation of the systematic Zionist aggression on Syria without any local or international deterrent.

The Zionist aggression is not alone in shedding Syrian blood. While Zionist warplanes were wreaking havoc on the people of Daraa, a Turkish warplane committed a horrific massacre in the countryside between the villages of Qomcji and Berkh Botan, south of Ain al-Arab (Kobani). The airstrike targeted the home of a family working in agriculture, resulting in the martyrdom of nine civilians, including at least five children, and injuring two others with varying degrees of wounds.

This ongoing Turkish and Zionist aggression, which targets villages and towns across Syria, is nothing but a continuation of policies of occupation, expansion, and imperialist competition at the expense of the blood of the Syrian people and their sovereignty over their land and future. These policies aim to impose a new colonial reality by displacing populations, destroying their livelihoods, and asserting dominance over Syrian territories. This crime is not an isolated incident but part of a systematic Turkish and Zionist military escalation that exacerbates the suffering of defenseless civilians and violates all international laws and norms.

We, the Revolutionary Left Movement in Syria, strongly condemn this criminal aggression and emphasize that this Turkish and Zionist escalation is merely another link in the chain of continuous assaults targeting Syria’s unity, its people, and their right to self-determination. We hold global imperialist powers, particularly the United States, fully responsible for the ongoing cover they provide to the occupying entity, encouraging it to persist in its criminal rampage without restraint.

We also affirm that the new authority bears direct responsibility for protecting the Syrian people and their lands from these aggressions and preventing the continued violation of Syrian airspace and territories by the Zionist and Turkish war machines. No authority claiming to represent the people can remain a spectator to the killing of civilians, the destruction of their lands, and their displacement. It must fulfill its historical duty to defend the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of its citizens. If it fails to do so, as is evident, the Syrian people have every right to confront the forces of occupation.

Glory to the martyrs… Freedom and sovereignty to the people… Long live the resistance of the peoples!
