Neither a single meeting (nor a few meetings) can substitute for an organization, nor can an occasional article replace an in-depth study. A protest stand cannot take the place of a mass demonstration, and grandiose names cannot change the reality of dwarfed formations. Revolutionary work’s dilemmas cannot be solved by grand slogans or thunderous words.
We will not cross the river on revolutionary camels, but by building boats. The masses will not heed the calls and directives of individuals isolated from them, and the actions of elites can never replace the movements of social blocs and classes. Any battle that does not involve the masses is a top-down battle devoid of value.
We need to frame the objective in light of the realities on the ground, lest it becomes empty rhetoric divorced from reality. A meaningful objective is one that results in the development of action among a segment of the masses, not one that results in the prominence of a segment of the elite.
What must be pushed forward is not you, but the people you are betting on.
Organize within the ranks of the Revolutionary Left to build a mass revolutionary left aligned with the interests of the working class and all toilers and the oppressed. The time has come to build the mass revolutionary party.
To fight against liberal settlements built on people’s blood, against the dictatorship of the regime, against militarism, and for public prosperity and dignity.
Social demands today are the battlefield: the forces of prosperity against the forces of starvation, the forces of knowledge against the forces of ignorance, the forces of happiness against the forces of despair and comprehensive environmental and human ruin. In short, the forces of true democracy against the rotten regime, the mortgaged opposition, and their foreign backers.
Without free compulsory education, without the right to work, without medicine, without decent housing, without women’s rights… they triumph and we are defeated. Our revolution becomes devoid of substance, stripped of its motive—for people revolt seeking dignity, and there is no dignity without demands that may seem simple and distant, yet they are the only true starting point for every revolutionary struggle.
Today, we raise the slogan: Food, Housing, and Education for the People. All Power, All Wealth to the People—to build a socialist alternative from below.
Organize within the ranks of the Revolutionary Left to build a mass revolutionary left aligned with the interests of the working class and all toilers and the oppressed. The time has come to build the revolutionary mass workers’ party.
We welcome all revolutionary socialist internationalists who believe that revolution is built through daily and persistent confrontation against the regime and its repressive institutions in the streets, workplaces, media spaces… and in every opportunity we seize to dismantle the bastions of the capitalist prison, blow by blow.
We draw our strength not from money nor from the support of regional and international powers, but from the popular classes (workers and toilers), whose struggles we immerse ourselves in. We advance as their struggle advances, and retreat as it retreats.
We stand at the forefront of the masses’ assaults, and are the last to retreat when their struggle recedes.
We constantly organize our ranks, however harsh the circumstances, for the ongoing and coming rounds of struggle.
And we raise high the banner of socialism.
