Israeli occupation forces carried out an airborne landing in the Al-Kiswah area of rural Damascus after a series of airstrikes on the region, amid reports of Israeli helicopters landing in the city of As-Suwayda in the south of the country.
A Front Line correspondent reported on Thursday that Israeli occupation forces executed an airborne landing in the Al-Kiswah area of rural Damascus. Our correspondent noted that the Israeli occupation “destroyed equipment after the airborne landing in the Al-Kiswah area,” which lasted approximately two hours.
Prior to the airborne landing, Israeli occupation aircraft launched airstrikes targeting the perimeter of Jabal Al-Manʿ near the city of Al-Kiswah in western rural Damascus. Local media reported that occupation forces carried out six airstrikes targeting military sites in Jabal Al-Manʿ, which separates Damascus and its surrounding areas from the Hauran Plain, with no reports of martyrs or wounded.
Approximately two hours after the bombardment, Israeli occupation aircraft renewed their raids on the area, targeting previous military sites.
Landing of Enemy Israeli Helicopters in As-Suwayda
Following the second wave of bombardment, several Israeli helicopters landed in As-Suwayda Governorate, coinciding with reconnaissance aircraft flying over the countryside of Damascus and Al-Quneitra.
Additionally, an Israeli force advanced near the village of Al-Nasiriyah in the countryside of Al-Quneitra in the south of the country. Simultaneously, Syrian news reported intense Israeli occupation aircraft flying in the skies of the capital, Damascus, where Israeli airstrikes targeted the 76th Brigade in Harjala in rural Damascus.
There were also reports of warplanes flying in the skies of Deir ez-Zor city and the eastern countryside. Furthermore, Israeli media reported that Israeli aircraft “are bombing Syrian bases concurrently with tanks entering the outskirts of Damascus from its southern side,” noting the landing of Israeli commando forces in two locations in rural Damascus.
Army of the Golani System Discovers Surveillance Devices Near Jabal Al-Manʿ
Zionist Aggression and Regime Complicity: An Equation Demanding Popular Revolutionary Mobilization
Following the Israeli assaults, a source in the Golani government revealed to SANA that (the Syrian army) “discovered surveillance devices near Jabal Al-Manʿ south of Damascus on August 26, while the site came under Israeli attack during handling.” The source added to SANA that Israeli airstrikes “continued to prevent the Syrian army from accessing the area until the evening of August 27.”
He noted that groups from (the Syrian army) “destroyed part of the systems by targeting them with appropriate weapons and retrieving the bodies of the martyrs.” Subsequently, Israeli aircraft launched several raids on the site, followed by an airborne landing with details yet unknown, according to the source.
The Israeli occupation had launched an aggression on Tuesday against a military point near the city of Al-Kiswah close to the As-Suwayda road in rural Damascus, directly targeting an “elite” force from (the Syrian Ministry of Defense).
In conclusion of this report, we emphasize that the Israeli aggression on the Al-Kiswah area in rural Damascus is not an isolated incident but part of a comprehensive colonial war aimed undermining the sovereignty of Syria and the region and striking the will of its people resistance and liberation. This airborne landing, carried out by occupation forces under cover of suspicious international silence, once again reveals the nature of the imperialist capitalist system that Israel employs as a tool of repression in the region.
Given the current Syrian regime’s inability to respond effectively, due to its structural reliance on capitalist and authoritarian logic, the need arises to build a revolutionary popular force that leads resistance from the grassroots. The permanent revolution we advocate is not merely a slogan but a strategy to liberate the working class from all forms of oppression and exploitation.
These events have revealed that security will not be achieved through negotiation or security agreements, but by organizing the masses within a unified front that defends both land and people together.
Moreover, the planting of espionage devices and the systematic destruction of military and residential infrastructure confirm that Israel acts as an organic ally of global capitalism, aiming perpetuate fragmentation and plunder. But the history of our people’s struggles shows that the occupier will not prevail as long as the spark of revolution is ignited in the hearts of workers, peasants, and rebellious youth.
In conclusion, we call upon the masses of our people in Syria and the region to:
- Enhance internationalist struggle against colonialism and Zionism.
- Reject any settlement that perpetuates sectarian and class division.
- Build popular resistance councils in neighborhoods and cities to unify efforts against aggression.
- Work systematically to build a resistant political project in contrast to Zionist fragmentation projects.
For revolution is the only path to liberate humanity and land, and our struggle continues until the last vestige of occupation and the last capitalist exploitation is eliminated.
