يشنُّ جيش الاحتلال التركي منذ ظهر اليوم الخميس، 5 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2023، عبر طائراته العسكرية هجومًا وحشيّاً على عشرات المواقع في مناطق مختلفة شمالي سوريا، إذ استهدفت بنى تحتية ومنشآت حيوية مدنية بينها ثلاث محطات نفطية، في الحسكة وقامشلي وغيرها، مخلفًا ثلاثة عشر ضحية، توفي 8 منهم في حصيلة أولية، وأُصيبَ 5 آخرون.
يستغلّ حزب العدالة والتنمية التركي بقيادة أردوغان، الهامش الذي ولَّده صراع التنافس الإمبريالي في أوكرانيا، ليصدِّر أزماته الداخلية عبر حروب خارجية، محاولًا تحقيق مصالحه الاستراتيجية في توسيع نفوذه الإقليمي بالقوة العارية، مُتخذًا ذرائع ملفقة حجة لضرب تجربة الإدارة الذاتية الديمقراطية في شمال وشرق سوريا، وهوسه المحموم بالعداء لأي حركة تحرّر كردية مستقلة في المنطقة.
في المقابل، نجد أنّ القوى الإمبريالية العظمى المتنافسة والمتدخلة في سوريا والمشتبكة أساسًا في الصراع فيما بينها على أوكرانيا تراقب بصمت دون أي تدخل حقيقي لوقف المذبحة بحق السوريين. كما أنّ نظام الطغمة الذي يعده حزبنا السبب الأساسي لاستباحة أرض سوريا واحتلالها وتقسيمها بسبب سياساته المستبدة والوحشية بحق الجماهير الشعبية، وصفقاته البائسة للحفاظ على بقائه على حساب معاناة السوريين ودمائهم، قد حافظ على تنسيق أمني ومخابراتي خلال العقد المنصرم مع النظام التركي، مثلما ظهر مؤخرًا إلى العلن الكثير من هذه اللقاءات.
استطاع نظام أردوغان، توسيع النفوذ التركي وتعزيز دور تركيا قوةً إمبريالية إقليمية وجزءًا مهمًا لا يتجزأ من حلف الناتو. وفّرت هذه الظروف لهذه الإمبريالية الإقليمية عبر جيشها وميليشيات مرتزقتها باحتلال أجزاء كبيرة من الشمال السوري وتنفيذ أعمال إجرامية وتغيير ديموغرافي بحق أهله، كما قامت بنهب ثروات ليبيا والعراق والمشاركة بتمزيق البلدين.
إضافةً إلى ذلك، يقوم النظام التركي بحرب مُستعرة ودائمة ضد الشعب الكردي وحقوقه المشروعة في كل أماكن وجوده. كما أنه دعم حروبًا عدة تستهدف الشعب الأرمني. وداخليًا شنَّ حربًا طبقية على الطبقة العاملة في البلاد. ورغم ادّعاءه الدفاع عن حقوق اللاجئين، فقد شهدنا في السنوات الأخيرة انتهاكات جسيمة وعنصرية بحق اللاجئين، ولاسيما اتساع سياسة الترحيل القسري لهم.
في هذه اللحظة المصيرية التي تستعد فيها الإمبريالية التركية الناشئة للانقضاض على شعوب المنطقة وتدمير كل المكتسبات التي تحققت بدماء الشهيدات والشهداء، فإن الواجب السياسي والأخلاقي يحتم على كل سوري/ة ديمقراطي/ة وكل يساري/ة ومحب/ة للحرية في العالم التضامن المبدئي وغير المشروط مع شعوب المنطقة في مقاومتها المشروعة للعدوان التركي وجميع مرتزقته وعملائه.
يدعو تيار اليسار الثوري في سوريا كل الذين يملكون إرادة المقاومة ودعاة التحرر إلى القيام بكل ما يلزم من تنسيق فيما بينهم، في الداخل والخارج، لإدانة هذا العدوان على مناطق الإدارة الذاتية الديمقراطية ومواجهته بقوة، حتى خروج آخر جندي تركي من الأراضي السورية، وكل المحتلين. فقد حان وقت الدفاع عن مكاسب شعبنا وحقه في التحرر بكل الوسائل المتاحة بدلًا من الاكتفاء بالشعارات الفارغة والخطابات الليبرالية المهادِنة.

Escalating Turkish Colonial War… Resistance is a Right and Duty
Since Thursday, October 5, 2023, the Turkish occupying army has been launching a brutal attack through its military aircraft on dozens of sites in various areas in northern Syria. It targeted infrastructure and vital civilian facilities, including three oil stations in Hasakah, Qamishli, and others, resulting in thirteen casualties, with eight of them reported as initial casualties and five others injured.
The Turkish Justice and Development Party, led by Erdogan, is exploiting the margin created by the imperialistic rivalry in Ukraine to export its internal crises through external wars, attempting to achieve its strategic interests by naked force. It uses fabricated pretexts as an excuse to strike the experiment of democratic self-administration in northern and eastern Syria and its passionate hostility towards any independent Kurdish liberation movement in the region.
On the other hand, we find that the major imperialist powers competing and intervening in Syria, primarily embroiled in the conflict over Ukraine, are silently observing without any real intervention to stop the massacre against the Syrian people. The despotic regime, which our party considers the main reason for the invasion, occupation, and division of Syrian land due to its authoritarian and brutal policies towards the popular masses, as well as its miserable deals to maintain its survival at the expense of the suffering and blood of the Syrians, has maintained security and intelligence coordination with the Turkish regime over the past decade, as many of these meetings have recently become public.
Erdogan’s regime has managed to expand Turkish influence and enhance Turkey’s role as a regional imperialist power and an integral part of NATO. These conditions have allowed this regional imperialism to occupy large parts of northern Syria, carry out criminal acts, and engage in demographic changes against its people. It has also plundered the wealth of Libya and participated in tearing apart both countries.
Furthermore, the Turkish regime is waging an ongoing and relentless war against the Kurdish people and their legitimate rights wherever they exist. It has also supported several wars targeting the Armenian people. Internally, it has waged a class war against the working class in the country. Despite its claims to defend the rights of refugees, we have witnessed serious and racist violations against refugees in recent years, especially the expansion of forced deportation policies.
At this critical moment when the emerging Turkish imperialism is preparing to attack the peoples of the region and destroy all the gains achieved with the blood of martyrs, the political and moral duty requires every Syrian democrat, every leftist, and every freedom lover in the world to express unconditional solidarity with the peoples of the region in their legitimate resistance against Turkish aggression and all its mercenaries and agents.
The Revolutionary Left Current in Syria calls on all those who possess the will to resist and advocates for liberation to coordinate among themselves, both domestically and internationally, to condemn this aggression against the areas of democratic self-administration and confront it with strength until the last Turkish soldier exits Syrian territory, along with all occupiers. The time has come to defend our people’s gains and their right to liberation by all available means, rather than settling for empty slogans and appeasing liberal speeches.
